Jolies Heij (1964) is a stage poet, she performs a lot, has won prizes and has a beautiful, tight delivery.
In this collection (Is that Nabokov's Lolita?) we read the spicy experiences of a woman growing up, with love. Her lusts, wiles and lies are revealed to us and Heij does not mince her words. But there is also a demonstration of depth and linguistic acrobatics, to my delight.
