Hoe ontstaat dichterschap?

Wat heeft dichters ertoe gebracht gedichten te schrijven?
Wat zijn hun oudste herinneringen daarover? Wat waren hun eerste pogingen?
Wie of wat heeft hen beïnvloed om de stap te zetten zelf een gedicht te proberen en daar dan mee verder te gaan?
Zat het in de familie (vader, moeder, oom...?), was het een leraar die hen begeesterde, of een gedicht dat ze toevallig vonden of een dichtbundel die ze in de kast ontdekten? Had het te maken met een heel persoonlijke ervaring? Wie waren hun voorbeelden daarbij?

Een onderwerp dat me altijd gefascineerd heeft.

Omdat ik hier en daar wat artikels daarover gevonden heb, ben ik van plan hierover onder dit item af en toe wat te schrijven...

Hopelijk delen nog Leestafelaars deze fascinatie en heel misschien reageert ook een dichter zelf. Je weet maar nooit!.

Bij mij is het duidelijk dat de brieven van Herman De Coninck mij tot het schrijven van gedichten hebben aangezet. Vooral het spel van woorden, metaforen en leuke zinswendingen waren de aanleiding. Gaandeweg probeer je dan hier en daar een emotie of beleving weer te geven...en soms lukt dat nog ook. Door vervolgens anderen hun gedichten te lezen, groeit de fascinatie. De leestafel heeft onmiskenbaar ook een invloed.

Ha Jan, goed dat je dit thema naar boven hebt gehaald. Ik was het niet vergeten, maar had helaas nog geen tijd om er iets over te posten, al heb ik daar wel een en ander over.
Ja, Herman de Coninck! Heeft menig Vlaming aangezet tot het schrijven van gedichten, vermoed ik. Dat het juist zijn brieven waren die dat bij jou deden, is wel speciaal (ik heb het boek zoals je weet, moet er nog steeds aan beginnen!).
Ik heb nog een artikel liggen waarin hijzelf schrijft wie en wat hem het meest beïnvloed heeft, en ook van Lut de Block en Patricia Lasoen (denk ik) en nog een aantal dichters.... Maar momenteel heb ik het heel druk. Het kwam er de voorbije week niet eens van gedichten te plaatsen op het forum. Vanaf het eind deze week is er beterschap in zicht.
Dus je hoort nog wel van me....

Mijn eerste pogingen dateren uit mijn school- en studententijd, tiba. Maar dit bleef nog louter beperkt tot naäpen van vormen. Inhoudelijk stelde dit absoluut nog niet veel voor. Rijmelarij zoals 'in mei legt elk vogeltje een ei', en vormen à la Paul van Ostaijen. Ondertussen ben ik wel enorm geëvolueerd, en verandert mijn stijl nog regelmatig. Onlangs heb ik hierover een aantal gedichten geschreven, zal eens nakijken of ik ze op Leestafel zette of niet.
